The discovery problem

Does the answer describe your firm correctly?

A potential client may ask about divorce representation, custody questions or how to choose an attorney. Before treating an omission as a content problem, we check what the platform actually returned, which sources it used and whether the firm information is accurate.

Define the audience and market.

Start with the matters your firm handles, jurisdictions your attorneys serve and questions your team hears. We do not publish unsupported service areas or generic pages for every city.

Find the evidence behind the answer.

Separate a named recommendation from a passing mention, a clickable link and a citation. Record incorrect locations, stale biographies and missing services as distinct findings.

Choose a useful next change.

Fix the information a visitor needs to make a decision: who handles the matter, where the firm practices and what happens after an inquiry.

What the work includes

A defined scope. A documented baseline.

Baseline and monitoring

Agree on a fixed set of relevant prompts, markets and available platforms. Keep dated answers, competitor mentions and cited sources so later comparisons use the same questions.

Firm-information audit

Review firm names, attorney biographies, practice descriptions, service areas and public profiles. Flag contradictions and missing evidence before rewriting the website.

Content architecture

Organize useful practice pages and internal links around genuine client questions. Put the direct answer near the start, then explain the details and limitations.

Technical clarity

Check crawl access, canonicals, indexing signals, headings and page metadata. Add supported structured data that matches the visible page.

Video and transcripts

Plan approved FAQ or process videos with clear titles, summaries and speech transcripts. Production is scoped explicitly; see our labeled creative examples.

Distribution and reporting

Prepare accurate profile and content updates for approved channels. Repeat comparable tests and report observed changes, unanswered questions and the next useful action.

Platforms and measurement

Compare evidence, not promises.

Testing can cover ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, Grok and Google AI Overviews where available. Product access, models and search features vary. An unavailable or login-blocked test is recorded as unavailable, not as a failed recommendation.

AI answer evidence

Record inclusion, order within an answer, factual accuracy, competitors, cited pages and links. Preserve the exact prompt and testing conditions. A position in a generated list is not a permanent search ranking.

Search evidence

Review indexing and available Search Console reports separately. A page being published or indexed does not establish that an assistant recommends it.

Business evidence

When analytics and lead records are available, track qualified inquiries and their known source. Do not attribute every change in consultations to AI visibility or imply that a mention caused a client engagement.

Review and proof

Keep the claims accountable.

Your designated attorney approves legal statements, jurisdictions and advertising claims before release. Our role is marketing, content and production; we do not provide legal advice. Confidential client or case details should not be sent through a marketing inquiry.

Our family-law video gallery shows clearly labeled AI-assisted concepts. Those samples demonstrate creative formats, not client endorsements, legal advice or measured marketing outcomes. See selected creative work and meet the team.

Questions worth asking

Before you start.

What is AI visibility for a family-law firm?

It is the work of checking whether your firm is mentioned, accurately described or cited in relevant AI answers, then improving the public information behind those answers. We record each test with its prompt, date, platform and sources. One response does not establish a durable ranking.

How is this different from SEO, AEO and GEO?

SEO addresses search discovery. AEO means answer engine optimization and GEO means generative engine optimization; both describe overlapping work around AI answers. Our scope focuses on specific deliverables: accurate firm information, useful pages, technical accessibility and repeatable measurement. A new acronym does not replace sound SEO.

Can you guarantee a ChatGPT or Google AI recommendation?

No. Platforms control their answers, and responses can change with the question, location, account, search mode and time. We can document our work and observed results. We cannot guarantee inclusion, first position, inquiries or signed clients.

How do AI systems choose which firms to mention?

There is no single published selection formula shared by every platform. Search-enabled answers may draw on retrieved web sources; other answers may use different information. We examine the actual sources and descriptions in each response instead of claiming access to a hidden ranking system.

Will structured data make an AI tool recommend us?

Structured data can describe visible business and page information in a consistent format. It is not an endorsement, and it does not guarantee an AI mention or a search feature. We mark up only accurate facts that the page supports.

Do reviews and third-party mentions matter?

Genuine reviews, public profiles and independent coverage can give people additional information about a firm. We check their accuracy and relevance as part of the public-information audit. We do not fabricate testimonials, buy fake mentions or treat any directory listing as a guaranteed ranking factor.

How long does the work take?

The initial schedule depends on the size of the site, access and attorney review. We agree on a release plan before starting and compare dated observations over time. Crawling, indexing and recommendation changes have no guaranteed timetable.

Can video support AI visibility?

A useful video can explain a question in a different format. We pair approved videos with accurate titles, context and transcripts when there is speech, and connect them to relevant pages. Video alone does not guarantee an AI recommendation.

Who reviews legal statements and advertising claims?

Your designated attorney reviews practice descriptions, jurisdiction details, legal statements, confidentiality concerns and advertising claims before publication. Kid in a Hoodie provides marketing and production services, not legal advice or a legal-compliance approval.

How do you measure success?

We track valid-test inclusion, description accuracy, citations, competitors and changes in source coverage. Search Console and available analytics provide separate search and inquiry measures. An AI mention, a website visit and a qualified consultation are different events; we do not count them as interchangeable results.
